Bugga_Guy
I am working on an interesting project that is a mixture of GIS, Google Earth and Sketchup. The assignment I have is to build simple block models and have them link up in google earth. The catch is to do a whole 11 mile area. Everything is fine when I work on one building then export them individually. But the problem arises when I am trying to do is work at a large scale and export all the buildings at 11 mile radius all at once. When I do this the buildings don't matchup with the google earth map. My assumption is because of the further you go the rounder earth gets, while working in sketchup everything is flat. So there is a margin of error. Does anyone have a workflow, or would know how to work on such a project with out having to export each building out? goodstadt
Hi! Did you get an answer or resolve this question? I am doing something similar and suspect that my only option is to break up the model into pieces or around 5kmx5km (roughly the size of an imported terrain at What was your experience? regards, Mike
