Upgraded to vray sp2 and now Ive got a few problems. Sometimes it renders the image sqashed into the top half of the frame wierd.

But worDR nodes hang. No they just stop. My workstation keeps going and finishes the frame. Bu the buckets that are started by the nodes never get completed.

Still not working and the Chaos Forum is not up either. This is beginning to damage my ability to work and Im thinking of rolling back to Vray SP1....

Well, Vray 1.50SP2 works fine on my workstation. It is installed on all my farm nodes.

To isolate what is going wrong, i am just using workstation + one node for DR. I have 'Launched VraySpawner as a Service' on the node.

In the 'services' list (start - run - 'services.msc') I have left the default

RESULT: it works.

I then have tried to send it to two nodes for DR and it fails to find either node. I then tried just with the workstation + node #2 and it works.

Sooooo...I assume it only works with one node. So I try sending it in the regular way by un-launching the spawner as a service and just launching vray spawner from the start menu and it works on one node. It works on one node. Try it on more than one and Vray news box tells me its connected to the two render hosts. But then it says the render hosts are not responding, so DR fails.

Sound familiar to anyone? I'm not an idiot when it comes to this stuff, but Im not a genius either. Could REALLY do with some help, this is driving me crazy.

Some assumptions I've made:

Its not a permissions issue, because they can render when its just one node.

Its not a network issue, because they can render when its just one node.

Its not a 'finding the dongle' issue, because they can render when its just one node.

Its probably on purpose. To annoy me.

Many thanks,

Tom.
