Crazy Homeless Guy
If it is strictly a vector drawing in Illustrator, it will not loose resolution because vectors are not based on pixel resolution. PDF supports vectors, and in fact will support vectors out of Illustrator better than it will any other program.
lucho
do you mean strictly a vector drawing if it don't has pictures??, it only has lines, no pictures. and what if the plan has pictures?? Thanks for your answer
Crazy Homeless Guy
If your drawing has raster images then there is the possibility that they will either have additional compression, or a drop in resolution when you save as a PDF. But on the other hand, if you have the option of using no compression on the images saved into your PDF file. It is all in the dialog settings when you choose to print or save as a PDF. They have a handful of presets for you to choose from. Just choose one that is designed for pre-press, and you should be fine. Double check, and tell it to use no compression or only ZIP compression on the raster images. Edited August 17, 2008 by Crazy Homeless Guy
