mattclinch
venables bell have been doing all the audi stuff of late in the US, including the godfather horsehead stuff. BBH did the 'slowest car we've ever built" stuff in europe. probably one of them as an ad agency. but i would say that it is lots of photography rather than CG, if that was what you mean. don't know what the production house was. aaron-cds
The interiors were definately 3d. It's nothing that Pure or Neoscape, or several other's couldn't do. I like the jab at Mercedes. That was clever.
Guest FlaviusC
wow.really impressive. I feel like an insect after seeing stuff like that... and yes,the idea with that S Klasse was really clever.I never liked Mercedes anyway ...

Crazy Homeless Guy
i like when the dog leaves I was surprised when they made the dog leave. People are very loving an attached to their pets, to suggest you should get rid of you dog as part of an upgrade is rather cold. Comical or not, merketing is sophisticated business and I bet this conversation came up in a board room.

That was clever. you think? i dont deny that it isn't possible its 3D... if it is, it is the most seamless example to date, but for now i stand by that being a kind of photography time-lapse bullet-time cross (perhaps with some 3d enhancement - bushes?), and look forward to being proven wrong! BrianKitts
my first reaction that lead me to believe it was faked was the brick deconstruction of the wall. On second look I agree about the fake foliage growth stands out as well. Those two elements scream CG to me. I can see it being a composite job of both real and CG stuff in AE.... similar to the some of the work that Squint Opera does. Nic H
but advertising people are known to be pretty stupid though, much like architects. get everyone involved and dilute the idea till its shit and palettable to the general public.
aaron-cds
you think? Now just because I didn't say "Pure, Neoscape or Hayes Davidson", you don't have to be a smart ass.
mattclinch
hahaha, no no, im generally curious to hear what made you think it was CG. no underlying tones whatsoever.
aaron-cds
Well, with enough people and time, the whole commercial could be cg. Why not? The interiors are cg, that's just obvious to me. It's not because they don't look real. They look great. Logistically, that sequence would be much easier to do in 3d than in real life with time-elapsed photography. Matt_3D
too much evermotion imoFail! Pretty impressive animation, would love to know the process behind putting something like that together.
SandmanNinja
They must have made about 10 different interior scenes and then ..er.. cross-phased the matter-antimatter intermix chamber.
Trevor Tizard
They must have made about 10 different interior scenes and then ..er.. cross-phased the matter-antimatter intermix chamber. Of course................now I understand!

RobNJ73
I was originally thinking Microsoft Paint, but you may be on the right path there! Actually, you're both right. I'm beta-testing the new MSPaint, and it's got a "matter-antimatter intermix chamber cross-phasing" button. It's right next to the "make art" button. Little bit buggy, though.
