Dave Buckley
Guys, made the switch from MR to Vray about 2 wks ago, here is my first attempt at rendeing an interior with Vray. Its an old Evermotion interior, i stripped it of around 13 lights and render settings then rednered this with Vray sun and sky only. Please give C&C's where possible as i need them to improve
LukeC
looks good - looks like you've picked it up quite well. Are the materials altered or part of the original scene?
Dave Buckley
materials were left as they were, was more concentrating on the lighting and physical camera controls really to see how adaptable my mental ray knowledge was i think the aliaising is a bit dodgy maybe down to my pixel aspect ratio being non-square i don't really know, and also the end book on the middle shelf looks a bit odd
THINKTANK
Looks good if you ask me, maybe look at the "Colour mapping", and change to a "Reinard" then the Burn value should be at 1.0, but if you decrease to maybe a 0.87 you won't get as much "Burn" in the corridor. Dave Buckley
as i said in a previous post, i left the materials as they were in the evermotion scene that i used, this was a focus on lighting, materials will probably be next once i have my lighting and render settings down to a tee. one step at a time
