andstef
you can use camera clipping planesif you want to make the section paralel to the camera view, or you can select the whole model and allpy a "slice" modifier, and a "cap holes" modifier, and play around with that. good luck

BillyElNino
im getting laid off and selling my copy of cinema 4d Still hanging in there then! It depends on the level of detail you wish to attain. Some section processes will leave your mesh open at the section cut. You may want to consider physically cutting up your model with the knife tool and removing the excess, or even modelling in what would be revealed when the section is taken. You can use a boole object to obtain a section with the faces filled in or not.
andstef
Well, it's quite simple place the camera in your scene and use the near clip value to cut where you want (the value is the distance from the camera to the clipping plane, anything closer to the camera will not be displayed)

gdrakakis
hi, this is a simple xpresso set-up of parallel cameras. it ties the DOF target distance with the near clipping. this way you can set it precisely by moving the central orange handle of the camera hth, george
