RyanSpaulding
Has anyone seen any info on this product? I know it was going to be there, but there's no info anywhere that I see. If they could ever get xStream to integrate well, they'd do much better,

RyanSpaulding
Yeah, I saw that press release...but there's little to no info on it there, the e-on boards contain nothing, nothing here on CGA either, and e-on hasn't put anything up on their site. Claudio Branch
I was at Siggraph and asked for a live demo of Vue 7 while visiting their booth on the exhibit floor. The demonstrator opened Max and began to build a scene for me using only Vue elements. Vue 7 is apparently now completely integrated into Max as a plug-in. You don't have to go back and forth. It was still using Mental Ray to render. I asked if it will support integration with V-Ray's engine and I was told that they are "working on it". As for network rendering goes, they still have their "rendercows" and the price scheme that goes with it. That still disappoints me. I have Vue 6 xStream and the frustration that goes with it. I was mildly pleased by what I saw, but I will probably download their PLE version before I hand over any money for an upgrade.
Brian Cassil
As I have mentioned in another thread, I was pretty impressed with it. The integration is a little hard to imagine untill you actually see it work. I'm pretty sure we will be upgrading our vue5 infinite license to vue 7 xstream just on the chances that it will be useable. I wasn't aware of the render node license fee. $200 for each render node license? That is a little dissapointing.
