charter
I have had that error in the past and usually with a large complex scene. Try ceaning out everything that you dont require for rendering so all the CAD layouts and other junk, run Garbage collection in maxscript (hit f12 to open then type GC "" then repeat till the numbers that are listed wont go any smaller) Then shut your system down and boot back up again to clear the RAM if it still does not work you may have to render the scene out in seperate elements and conp it back together in photoshop......... good luck! dpcaltdcah
I had that problem for a while when another person in my office had turned on bitmap paging in the preferences without my knowing about it. I couldn't render anything in a big scene without that error. I think I posted about it somewhere on here. It seems illogical but once I turned that off again this error went away. Also opening all of my bitmaps in photoshop and manually reducing their size helped too.
