Quickbooks training?

I recently purchased Quickbooks with the view to simplifying my life and cutting down on the amount of time I spend doing admin - the problem is I know absolutely nothing about accountancy (I usually just hand my accountant a big bag of invoices/receipts) and the tutorials that come with the software are very basic. Does anybody know of any good training material for Quickbooks, on-line or otherwise that would get me up to speed quickly?

I have 2 shoe boxes.

RECEIPTS - anything I buy for the business I throw in there

MONEY - anytime anyone pays, I attach their cheque to the invoice I sent them and put it in there

I take everything to H&R Block.

:)

I don't have time to learn tax codes and stuff. And if I stuff up, it's my butt. At least I have some measure of recourse if the accountant stuffs up. If nothing else, there is a team behind him. And he gets training on new tax stuff every year.

What I pay every year, I'd probably have to spend in software updates for the tax software, and he PROBABLY saves me money. So I figure he pays for himself.

Oh yeah, I still use my accountant to do all my taxes but I want to use Quickbooks to keep an eye on what's happening with the company finances - I can't keep a track of it all in my head, there's too much coming in and out so if it's all in one place then great... one less thing for me to worry about.

Another cool thing about it is it can produce invoices for you. I've been doing all my invoices in InDesign for the past 2 years believe it or not, what a pain! Time to tackle all this stuff and get it streamlined so I can spend more time being productive.

you'll spend more time inputting data - do you really want to spend more time in front of a computer???
