Leather material

That link didn't work for me, but these steps might help

Setup the diffuse bitmap

Set a falloff in the reflection slot with the type as fresnel and your bump map (or reflection map if you have one) in the white slot

reflect glossies to .55

bumpmap to whatever looks best

Thats the general setup I'd probably use. I've done this off the top of my head so I might have got a few things wrong. The tutorial you were looking at might have already suggested that setup.

Don't forget that the material won't look good with bad lighting, so that might be something to check as well.

Hi thanks for the reply, the lighting is ok. I have posted my settings below and a picture of the leather. I have made the bump amount smaller but get the exact same results, crazy bumps. I have tried golss at .55.

Thants a different link to the same tutorial i want my leather to look like that! http://www.evermotion.org/index.php?unfold_exclusive=92&unfold=exclusive

Thanks for the help
