andstef
Hello I'm trying to change change the sample object scene in the material editor for work in LWF (i use Lele's method). So, I created a new scene, set up for work in LWF created a sphere, a V-ray Sun, added a V-ray camera, set up the exposure of the camera, when rendered everything was ok. I want to use this scene as the custom sample object in the material editor, to preview the materials, because after changing the rgb multiplier everything goes pitch black. When I use the scene I made with the physical camera, it doesn't work as I expected it to work, it renders the material burned out, like there is no exposure or the material's rgb multiplier isn't turned down. Do you have any idea if this can be done? Thanks.
BrianKitts
you lose the benefit of the exposure control on the vraycamera in the material editor when doing this, the material editor view is basically the same as a standard camera. Your best bet would to probably be to turn off the exposure control on the vray camera when you set your scene. And then turn the sun's intensity down, will probably be around the range of .
andstef
Thanks, I'll try that. I thought there might be something wrong with the camera since the object looked burned out, but I was in doubt because the user reference stated that if you place a camera in the scene used for the material editor sample object, than the material will render from that camera. Thanks again.
