jake256
I thought I'd try something a little less photorealistic with a more traditional illustration look. Modeled in SketchUp, rendered in Modo, trees grass, people and overly-dramatic sky in Photoshop. Looking forward to getting Piranesi in the workflow for entourage. The new epix export from Modo seems to work well with just a few minor irritations. Edited August 22, 2008 by jake256
RyanSpaulding
Looks AMAZING. Good work. Might get a better response in the Finished Work forum though.
alias_marks
Yes I would agree, nice on the lighting. Reminds me of that dark side light side you get ust before the storm. Very Matte-ainter-esque (if that's a word, HA!) Lot's more details in the foreground would be great. and it'd be nice to check out a higher res too I'm really diggin' adding the character to images in photoshop lately too! It'd be great to see what you started with and then what you added in photoshop...
Claudio Branch
Nice work. I really like the composition and lighting. Very clean with a limited pallete... The dead grass in the foreground doesn't really make sense with the rest of the foliage in the scene though. Tall green field grass anyone? The pavement surface also appears to have too much green hue on it as well.
jake256
Thanks folks, Yea, I might move it over to the other forum. Alias_marks, I guess I would have to provide and outside link for a higher res? Claudio, I agree about the pavement color. The building is across from what will be a restored prairie area so I was leaving that kind of wild without getting too messy. Thanks.
alias_marks
ya, maybe. I think you can to up to attach 5 megs though if you just rename your file from .jpg to .jpeg. otherwise photobucket is great for this, i find...
jake256
I updated it with a little higher-res image. Thanks for the tip.
