Tim Saunders
So our IT guy finally upgraded my MAX, but he seemed to miss where I specified to install MAX 2009 Design! And he has the regular Max 2009 installed. Of coarse it will be several days before he can get the problem resolved. In the mean time, I'm wondering if I should go ahead and work in Max? Are both Max and Max design compatible with each other? Will I have any problems scenes I create in Max with Max design?
Devin Johnston
From what I understand they are virtually identical with a few small exceptions.
SandmanNinja
I swear I read in Autodesk's doco (somewhere!) that a scene created in one would load/compile in the other.
BrianKitts
I would sure hope they are compatible. If 2009 is basically just the host for a SDK so that developers can create extensions to 2009 design, then it sure better be able to interoperable between the two applications otherwise they would have had to put out a version for 2009 Design with an SDK.
