tsimon
Hi all, I'm wondering what other people do for project asset management. My problem is that I find myself running up and down directory trees in various dialog boxes all day. Bridge is okay, but I'm dreaming of something that incorporated some kind of file commenting/to-do feature, where I could launch the relevant files directly, and avoid wasting paper. I've been working on projects that use .dwg's, .ai's, .psd's, .max's, etc. I saw a thread on here that mentioned Extensis Portfolio, but it doesn't seem like quite what I want. Something more like Basecamp crossed with Bridge would be ideal. Am I dreaming? Any alternate suggestions/methods? Thanks, Tom
John Dollus
Sounds like Alienbrain would do what you are looking for. Handles asset management on both a global and project-specific level
tsimon
Yeah, it does seem pretty good. Now if I can only convince the IT guys of that.... Thanks!
Dave Buchhofer
AlienBrain does look nice, its also bloody expensive but because its bloody expensive, they're pretty good about giving mailing you demo disks and giving you talking points to use to make your pitch to the keepers of the money.
