Neil Woodhouse
Greetings, I've just purchased ( at some expense ) a full set of Helvetica fonts. I have installed these in the MAX font directory, set the user path. Re-started Max and........nothing, they aren't being picked up. Any ideas? Regards, Neil

Ernest Burden III
Last week I bought a set of Helvetica, too. I bought them through Adobe. The instructions were to use the OS control panel>fonts to install the fonts, not Photoshop or similar. Next time I started PS, there was my expensive Helvetica. Try that. As a test, I just added a text object in C4D, it too finds the Helvetica.
Scott Dombrowski
The fonts control panel is probably the safest way, but I just plop em in the c:/windows/fonts folder (I'm assuming that's where you eventually put them, Neil). For others just tuning in, they go there 'cuz that's where Max looks for fonts in that case. I'm not sure what the fonts folder in Max is for. Neil, if you were in the U.S. you could plead that today is actually more like a Monday, since most of us Yanks had yesterday off as a holiday. That's what I'm blaming my fuzziness on, at least.
