cgrant3d
We've got a project coming up where I'm going to need a very specific type of 2d entourage - kids (ranging from k-12) wearing basic school uniform (ie white/blue polos/pants). Obviously I'm not going to find what I'm looking for as a ready to use texture w/alpha... Have any of you run across any stock photography sites that might have what I'm looking for? Any suggestions other than doing a photo shoot at a school? I'm virtually certain we're not willing to spend the time / hassle to get parental consent / etc for a bunch of families so I'm hoping I can solve this with a lot of Photoshop work and stock photos... FlyinHawaiian
Hey Chris! Fancy running into you here. You could always try to check spots like Flickr.com. I've gotten all kinds of great reference and source imagery from there. (Of course, you'll probably want to pay attention to the copyright usage, (especially if you were going to be putting straight images from there into your scenes) but if you were to clip them out and they weren't easily recognizable, you probably won't have any problems...) Anyway, it's worth a try. Aloha, Joel

That might be a great way to add some of the distant people that wouldn't be recognizable anyways... I'll see what I can find.
