Kassner
Hello everyone! My name is Kassner from Brazil and I'm an architecture student and civil engineer. I was looking some of Finalrender's gallery images and others from users links but I notice all realistics architectural renderings are about indoor scenes. The outdoor scenes are so poor of realism compare to others renderings like Brazil SplutterFish or Vray plugin. Could anyone explain me why? Is Finalrender prefer to use in indoor rather than outdoor scenes? Thanks, Kassner.
STRAT
just coincidence. final render is just as capable as creating stunning external piccys as brazil and vray are. it's just a shame the FR guys choose not to show any appropriate piccys in the gallery. a good artist will manipulate the software to his heat's desire. dwright
I agree with Strat, you can grab any software out there, any! and do great work if you know what you are doing.
Cesar R
I just think exterior scenes are very hard ..right?
Kassner
Thanks for answering guys.... Maybe my english is NOT so good as I thought. I agree with both of you that artist's skills are independent of the software, render engine or plugins.... Could you please tell me where I can find good FR outdoor scenes? or anyone who uses FR and fit his expectations about exteriors scenes. I don't know why outdoors scenes do not expire me as well as interior scenes. :???:
DelfoZ
can u show to us your exterior images with FR. FR r easy to exterior scenes. 1 target direct, enable ur sky color, and done of curse some elements need generate Gi, others not. etc etc .. Cesar R
I just posted a render with VIZ under 1701, tell me what you think. I thinks its much better than the previous ones which proves the soft. has nothing to do with the outcome.
Kassner
OK! I will submit a image using FR... My first experiencies using FR for outdoor scenes, I started with daylight system but with smaller intensity values for both sunlight and skylight. I was trying to simulate hard light like a Brazilian normal day but I could not reach nice GI sample point distribution like I do in my indoor scenes. In FR Globals, I was using Brute Force as render engine and skylight too but it takes for ever. Could you give some details about your settings in FR GI parameters? Have anyone use HDRI images for outdoor scenes?
DelfoZ
check JCS images , done with FR, and u can see their FR setting FR imagen , Pavillon
KiboOst
Kassner, indoor scenes are the harder scene to get clean with GI. Outdoor scenes are really easy to setup without artefacts etc. Maybe that's why they don't who them and prefer show the harder work they do ? Kassner
I will try these settings! but what a huge number of RH rays!? DelfoZ > It´s funny but I think your fakeradiosity image has better light "distribuition" than others images using FR. Another question: Do you still using some lighting techniques even using FR? Guest penguin71
I think in my experience with the exterior that the best in term of quality and time is BRAzil, for short time and good images VRAy. Final render is too slow and too dificult to setting bye
