smr_VIZ
Can anyone tell me if I can use standard camera to create the depth of filed effects for a rendering? I am rendering a scene with the camera 60 meters high above the ground. So there is alot of far side ground could be rendered. I want them to be faded away. Is the depth of field the right way to achive what I want? Thanks,
Nic H
depth of field or distance fog will work - beware if you use dof be careful you dont end up with a miniature scale model style image like this! id do a zdepth pass and use it in photoshop - filter - blur - lens blur, so you have some control over it. will render alot quicker as well. you can do a quick zdepth using a falloff map set to distance blend (with you values in the close far bit) in the vray material override or as an Extratex render element.
