Three D
Hi. In 3DS Max Design 2009 is it possible to have the Vray sun/sky show as a realtime preview in the viewports like the new MR sun does. Thanks.
Horhe
1. Alt+B 2. Tick 'use enviroment map' (make sure you have the vraysky in the enviroment slot) 3. Show map in viewport Should work.
Dave Buchhofer
theres also a script in http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/leles-vray-tools which will automatically dim the map used in the viewport display, but keep the full brightness one when you hit render. (since theres no exposure control in the viewport)
Three D
Thanks for that guys. I was aware of the alt+b but wondered how to get the background to expose correctly and display the sun. Lele's script is a great help but I'd have thought Vray would have had this sorted without the need for an additional script.
