Neil Woodhouse
Greetings, I'm stuggling with getting multiple sound files into a short animation that i'm doing. Brief. I have 2 sound files. One has to be repeated 4 times ( a bouncing ball effect ) the other is right at the end ( a crowd cheering ). I've looked at the sound facilty in max and i'm nonplussed by it. Question: Can sound files be added at video post or do i need an external sound package or editing package. I have Adobe Premier but i've only had it about a week so i'm total newbie on it. Thoughts/help guys Regards Neil
tayrona
You can use video post but is not the easiest tool. premiere is most intuitive. make a new project, import your video and audio files, and use de video an audio timelines to organize your edition. Premiere is very easy, try this way...
3dp
agreed a video package is simple however.................. the rtre package has a plugin called thunder or something similar where you attach a sound file to the animated item i.e the ball bounce thus the sound will react to mic/camera placement if it changes location it's a couple of revisions of max back and i only used in testing but it worked
Neil Woodhouse
Thanks guys, As i said in my original post i'm a total newbie with Premiere and sadly i don't have RTRE. I'm just wondering whether or not to get the Credit Card out and buy a copy of Boomer Labs 'Sound Trax'. I remember years back using Foley Studio which was good. Anyone any experience of Sound Trax.......before i spend time working out how to edit with Prem. Neil
Horhe
Im not sure about video post im max, I havent used for a long long time. From what I recall I had problems with stopping a particular sound looping in max when I was fooling around with music and sounds under max. Premiere is not difficult it will take you a couple of moments to get the basics. Import the animation on one layer, and the sounds on another, then just slide the sound to the point you are happy with, repeat for other sounds and you you set.
