Horhe
Few more tweaks, and a little material variance.... Edited September 14, 2008 by Horhe
SandmanNinja
I'm liking the 'gathers' in the material!

Nic H
looks awesome, you should be selling these! are you zbrushing those ripples and gathers -then displacing / normal mapping it? or poly modelling them in?
Horhe
Thanks Nic! Poly modeling the ripples. Im thinking of making a library and perphaps letting them out. I dont have Z-Brush, tried the demo, and Im thinking of buying it since.
Dave Oliver
for those seams are you drawing a line that snaps to the vertices and lofting it?
Tommy L
I think the ripples are out of place in these renders. Because the materials and shapes of the cushions are so 'new', hte ripples make the furniture look badly made. If the materials were distressed and the cushiond had imprints from usage, then the ripples would be a really nice touch. Right now it kind of looks like some one just finished wallpapering a wall and looks over his work and says "bugger, I didnt see them bubbles." Horhe
@dave5264: Nope, just some poly editing with meshsmooth modifier. @Tommy L: Yep your right. It actually does look like a piece of furniture that has been badly produced, cheap furniture from the market LOL. I will be reworking the ripples, and instead adding the imprints from general usage. Hence in the latest wip most of the bad ripples on the side are gone and some usage ripples added, especially on the upper visible side of the pillow. Thanks for comments guys. innerdream
I think the ripples are out of place in these renders Especially the sides, the cushions I would leave a little on.
Brian Cassil
super renders. I kind of thought the same thing about the ripples. They look cool and do add some realism to the furniture but maybe the wrong kind of realism. Great work anyway.

Ky Lane
Hey Ky, thanks man No wuckers. Out of interest though, is this for a project? Or a client request? Just trying to imagine a situation where one of my clients would be happy with me spending more than 10 mins modelling any given furniture.
