WIP - Furniture updated

I think the ripples are out of place in these renders. Because the materials and shapes of the cushions are so 'new', hte ripples make the furniture look badly made. If the materials were distressed and the cushiond had imprints from usage, then the ripples would be a really nice touch. Right now it kind of looks like some one just finished wallpapering a wall and looks over his work and says "bugger, I didnt see them bubbles."

@dave5264:

Nope, just some poly editing with meshsmooth modifier.

@Tommy L:

Yep your right. It actually does look like a piece of furniture that has been badly produced, cheap furniture from the market LOL.

I will be reworking the ripples, and instead adding the imprints from general usage. Hence in the latest wip most of the bad ripples on the side are gone and some usage ripples added, especially on the upper visible side of the pillow.

Thanks for comments guys.

No wuckers.

Out of interest though, is this for a project? Or a client request?

Just trying to imagine a situation where one of my clients would be happy with me spending more than 10 mins modelling any given furniture.

Nope not for a project, just modelling some furniture in order to sell in the near future.

Jaub ur killing me man this is so great stuff.i am eager to see this collection when it is finished.

by the way would u be willing to do custom furniture modeling and how much would u charge ?

i work in arch visualisation (mostly interiors)and sometimes i get asked for special custum furniture but i am afraid that i have neither the time or the skill.so perhaps we can collaborate.pls i u can't discuss fees here u can email me at fadi3d@hotmail.com
