Quasi-Monte Carlo versus Light Cache

both have their plusses. if you're doing much by way of glossy effects than you probably want to look further into light cache.

i usually just use qmc when i'm doing quick iterative test renders via dr since dr + light cache forces each machine to render its own light cache seperately, and we have a mixture of quicker/slow-as-hell machines on the farm ;)

in terms of light quality, qmc is marginally sharper, and marginally less bright than light cache.
