Macer
Is anyone that has a new-ish card (DirectX 10+) using the DirectX 10 driver in Max? If you select DirectX (instead of Open GL) it usually defaults to the DirectX 9 driver (its under Preferences> Viewports> Display Drivers). I was wondering if anyone had tried running Max using directX 10,? If so, how does it compare to DirectX 9? Does everything display correctly on your screen? do you get the same display rate or fps? I have a GTX9800 on one pc but with the DirectX 10 driver some things (mainly the view cube thingys and some menu buttons) don't display the same as they do with the DirectX 9 driver. Just curious more than anything.....
WAcky
I think it depends what version you're using. I cant use DX10 in 2008 without getting alot of problems. Im not sure how 2009 works tho...
Macer
Hmm, interesting. Max Design 2009 is being used on that pc. What are other peoples setup like?
jucaro
Used it once, never used it again. Design 2009 keeps crashing. Or maybe it was my card. xfx-8800GT. Im sticking to dx9 for now
Antisthenes
so it seems like only gamers see the advantage at this point? i have openGL accelerated cards so i stick with openGL and dx9 for other stuff that does not have quadro/firegl support.
