navnow
hi all, I'm working on a Walkthrough, and as u can see on the attached image, the walls and ceiling are very grainy. Can anyone tell me how to remove the grains on the walls/ceiling. I have attached the render setting too. Thanks in advance naveen
kippu
ur noise threshold at 0.05 is not adequate ..go lower i think
chadw
In your Adaptive Sampling you are using a min and max of 1 and 2, and a color threshold of 0.1. Start adjusting those numbers. For instance try undersampling with you min..... say -2 and over sample with your max.... maybe 3. Then adjust your color threshold to .05 or as low as .005. You are going to notice a spike in your render times but this should clean that up for you. Good luck.
navnow
thank u maria and chad for ur reply. when i reduce the color threshold value its to .01 its removing the grains but as said.. even the rendering time is going upto 1hr per frame. thanks again
chadw
What did you set you min and max at? Is this for an animation or a still image?
chadw
Also..... do I see a 3000 in you light cache? If that is the case you need to bring that to somewhere around 800.
Tommy8
if you have vray light in your scene , you should check on the store wit irradiance map.

(min -1 and max 2) > this is for animation (interior walkthrough). > i will cut the Light cache value to 800 and test. > i'm using some vray lights but most are default photometric lights.
