proces2
i am having a serious problem with getting my snaps to work. i inherited the model that i am working on, and it was located about 900,000' away from the origin. so, i relocated everything to near the origin. but, now i can't modeling anything accurately with the snaps. i'm using MAX 5.1. i do all my modeling in MAX and haven't run into this problem before. here's an example: the yellow line that was created is supposed to be snapped exactly to the green line - obviously it is not. you can see how the snap is floating all over the place as well. sean
Paulcalif
This is a wag, but you might try a reset transform on the problem geometry. It's in the utility panel. Paul
proces2
BRILLIANT! That totally worked. i selected everything and used the reset xform tool and now its all working like normal again. i was in the midst of exporting everything as DXF and reimporting it in a new file. thanks!! sean
