Froggy
Hi everybody , I suppose to render a big picture (150cm, 100cm). I know that 3DS max render in 72 dpi, but they ask me to render in 150 dpi !! I checked the size on photoshop for the pixels size and for this particular size and dpi I have 8858x5906 pixels. When I try to render more than 3500 pixels with VRAY and it's worth with mental ray my 3DS crash or said that it can't create the bitmap . Any clue Thx. SandmanNinja
You want this script - it's great. I did 8000x6000 to test it, and it never used over 2 gigs of ram. Someone here put me on to it, but I don't have the original thread.

Froggy
Ok I've try, But I have a problem. When splitrender is done it gave me an unknown system exception. I set the ouput size to 8000x2736, I add a save file, and split the render in 4 and I put the same number in the splitrender window. Otherwise work great but I can't get the final picture !! Any explanation about it ? Thx.
REDVERTEX
You don't have to render at this resolution. You can have the same result if you render 1/2 resolution, then make your PP and CC .. and then you can RESIZE the image. The final result will be absolutelly cool. classix
Froggy There is another way to render big images: Backburner Even on a single machine. Set up a render network and render with "split scanlines". Backburner will finally assemble the splitted images. Hope this helps http://www.einherzfuerpixel.de
