Jeenyus203
I am makin a scene in max and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the modeling and textureing of a waterfall in 3ds max 6. I tried to mess around with the particle systems but that just didnt work. If anyone has any ideas that would be a great help. By the way I just recently got Particle Illusion and i made a waterfall in that program but have no idea on how to export it to max...if anyone has an idea on THAT problem let me know. Thanks. -matt-
skogskalle
that depends on what kind of scene it is... Are you making it for still images, or are you planning to animate it? If your just going for stills, I think the easiest would be to paint the waterfall effect in photoshop or some other image edit program. If your animating it, then particles are definetly the way to go. Try to combine different particle systems until you get the right "shape" of the fall, and then play around with colors and motion-blur-settings and so on - It probably wont look photoreal, but I think you could come pretty close.... never heard of particle illusion...cant help you with that.. Ted Boardman
>>textureing of a waterfall in 3ds max 6. Matt, My next column at CGArchitect will be about creating flowing water in VIZ 4 but the techniques are the same in max. Jeff should be back soon to post the column.
