Devin Johnston
Really great stuff, I'm more and more convinced that Maxwell should only be used for product and close up renderings of objects because they always look so good.
schmoron13
love it. On the pipes, I'd turn down the DOF. It makes them look like they're toothpick thin. I'm not digging the oranges shot. It feels plasticy. And the super blown out lighting isn't helping. The pencils....WOW
Kurt
thanks a lot! a few more - first a displacement test - the wireframe shows my very simple model (all renderings are without any post-processing - just directly from Maxwell): mixed fluids: Edited September 19, 2008 by Kurt
RobNJ73
Very nice... all we're missing (and here's me getting needlessly nitpicky) is the meniscus in the glasses of water/mixed fluid container, and you'd never convince a layman that these weren't photos. Kurt
thanks Rob! actually, there is a meniscus in the model, but it's either to small or the lighting is not making it appear... But you are right - this detail makes it look less real.

I agree. You even get a render in hours rather than days. Great stuff, Kurt.
