Randy liddil
I just received a disc that has maya files on it and it needs to be rendered out in 3ds max. I have a copy of Maya so I can open it but does anyone know how to convert the maya file to a format that I can open in 3ds max while still preserving all of the textures and mapping? Tay othman
Hello Randy.... Now it's Easy to transfer Files from Maya to Max.....How? Through FBX format. www.autodesk.com/fbx Download the latest Plugin for both Max and Maya.... This will preserve UVs and Textures but not Preserve Shaders so you have to make some tweakings. Note also 3rd party shaders such as Mentalray....Till now not Supported. any need for help Don't Hesitate Just PM me. Cheers /Tai
