sdds
hi guys, I have just started a new job and now have to use max for modeling, corrections etc... coming from an autocad background I am finding myself getting in a muddle with groups and layers. thus worrie about my speed of workflow. Cad seems so organised to me for working on large buildings lol.. Would be interested how others work..
STRAT
hi Simon. new job eh? fantastic news coming from a c4d/acad background i think after a short period you'll fit into max modelling much more easily and intuitively than c4d modelling. i came from an autocad/max background and switched to acad/c4d. i miss max modeling so much to be honest. it completely fits in and is compatible with autocad (whereas c4d doesn't half as much). it's different than c4d modeling, but when you get to grips with it you'll find how different it is. probably a welcome break even. sdds
thanks matey, yep think I got back into the workplace just in time, everything is going tits up around us lol! I hope all is well for you guys. I don't mind max modelling but the organization compared to acad layers, snaps and solids is tough to get comfortable with tbh.. I guess its best to work in groups, by material ie. all grass, brick etc. It seems to me that cad is very good for some things like making the base structure.. I think I get in a muddle quite quickly in max lol.
