Devin Johnston
I just upgraded to Max 2009 and I wanted to use some of my RPC's, is it true that now you have to pay for the plugin?

Devin Johnston
Yea I just got off the phone with someone at tech support, he said that because of plugins like Vray and MentalRay that they have to support that they must charge for the plugin. I asked him if the RPC's worked with GI hoping that they had at least upgraded the plugin and he said that they look better now which in my book means no. I really can't believe that after all the money I've spent on content over the years they go and do something like this. I told the guy when he offered me a special price on the plugin no thanks and that I'd never buy another RPC again.
beestee
They lost our business years ago due to their licensing schemes. I am certainly glad we are not having to deal with these new issues. The sad thing about it is that they have hooked a lot of people unaware of the other options that are available, and those people will certianly be paying for the plugin so as not to lose what they have already invested in content.
