Google Earth Use

Other than as a user viewing it on the web, I have not explored the full potential of Google Earth. I know that third parties can build building models and somehow have them included on the site, but is there a way that one can build hypothetical buildings and view them in the Google Earth context?

In other words, can I white-model a high-rise and place it at a given city location and then have my clients view it with Google Earth? And would it also show the other 3d buildings in the city that are already included in Google Earth? Is there a fee to Google to do this?

Google broken? :)

I realize you have a smiley face on that, yet just because the world now has Google, is there no need to talk to each other anymore? :)

Thanks to all for the input.

Michiel, that is exactly what I was looking for and thanks for including the link to your model. It really helped me quickly understand the process and how it can be useful for my client.
