patricksampras
hey guys i have a model of an object that i'd like to get line drawings of plan elevation and side view. (3ds max or rhino is ok for me) is there any proper way of doing this? I reallyu don't want to go into autocad and start playing around in paper space. thanks for the info. cheers
Antisthenes
do a -viewportcapturetofile in rhinoceros and set the resolution for your targeted media size and overlay it with photoshop? that or turn on render curves when rendering. or print to PDF and place that in PS at the right scale if you are working with a scale thru a detail in a page layout. AJLynn
Is that better than ... what the heck is the command called... something like make2d in Rhino. There was a guy in my program at school who swore by using that to generate a 2D line drawing from a perspective, which can then go to Illustrator or Autocad to make it look nice. Antisthenes
no need to go to illustrator (rhino has it's power) but you can as it is that interoperable to others tools make2d would be good for overlaying on a picture frame of a pespective render and set up on a page layout or you could use the same view but turn on the technical or 2ddisplay modes and with 2 details on top of each other of the same view but in different modes as always there are 3 ore more ways to do the same thing in this no limitations, worker owned 'n user driven application.
