art.chitect
Hi Jason! I think the atmosphere here is too dark, try to adjust some more in photoshop
SandmanNinja
The girl in the red dress is just sort of standing in the middle of the render, her back to a table. Looks kind of strange, and her red dress is like a red sports car - really draws your eye to her instead of the scene. The waitress with the wine glasses, while not centrally located, is so close to the 'camera' that she blocks the a good part of the view. The problem with restuarants - they are usually dark for 'atmosphere'.
alias_marks
Jason! Welcome dude! I already sent you my comments, but I'll post em here too, so it might stir some other responses. ------------------ Yo dood, looking good. I’d tone down the light flares a bit. Something settle would work better I think. I think this might be a limitation to vray for sketchup, but you’re not getting any good soft shadows or color bleeding. I’m not sure how to fix that, but I would definitely look into playing around with some of the lighting settings. You’ve also got some strong colors here that should be bleeding onto other objects more. Especially the blue light above and the wall behind on the right. Looks like you photoshoped those in, but I would see how you might have the blue bounce around some more. The table cloths need some help too. The bumps are way out of scale. I’d look into having your firm maybe buy some high quality 3d models so you can just drop them in. People are pretty good actually, Is that you talkin to that fly honey? Haha! I’d work on the two waitresses though. Looks like they’re lit in an exterior scene. I’d Photoshop them a bit more to match the lighting.
DiegoFlores
i'd suggest gaussian blurring a little the people at the back of the scene to add deepness.

e[dub]
hi all, this is my first post. i am new to V-Ray and appreciate any help i can get. this was done with SketchUp, V-Ray, and Photoshop. thanks. did you photoshop in all the people? - what kind of image library are you using for the seated people? - I think their placement/perspective generally look good (except the red dress, as mentioned) - good job. You just need to play a bit with contrast, blur, etc to make the people fit in a little better with the render.
jjackson
e[dub], yes all the prople are photoshoped in. Some of the sitting people were created by my own photography while others are from my firms library built over the years from various sources. yorik
What I liked most in this image is something that is usually very difficult to obtain, it is a sense of atmosphere. Of course you can work more details and such, like other people said, but you look at the image and can imagine very well what kind of ambience there would be in that place. Well done!
