hello to all

first thing first i am a big fan of vray.......... but i am tire of trial and error wen it comes to rendering with different light. i was introduce to Maxwell by a coworker at work. at work they only use it for simple furniture rendering and no one knows how to do render a z-depth channel image. i am new to Maxwell and i was wondering how can i get a z depth chanel image like in vray for post work in photoshop?

i curently have 3d max 2009 with maxwell 1.7 with the 3d max plugin

one last question. i do not see any maxwell images in the material box is this normal as well i do not see any camera for maxwell?.........should i call the company and ask?

The Maxwell camera controls are at the bottom of the standard max camera rollout.

I'm sorry, I can't answer your other questions with any certainty. Do the zbuffer controls have a max and min value? Is so, that has to do with your view extents. The user guide is quite good, maybe there is something in there about it, or you could look at the Think site for info.

I don't understand your last question about the material box. Can you post a screen shot?
