markf
It would be handy if one could load a previous rendered image into the frame buffer. Then you could pick up where you previously left off and render a region, change a light or whatever else you might like to do. As it stands, if you open a project you have to render the scene before you can do anythin. No ability to make use of previous rendering. It would be kind of like how you can load a saved image into the RAM player. Saves having to render the entire scene each time you start a new session. Stephen Thomas
You could still do your render region, but save out as a targa or whatever then paste on top and get rid of the black part using alpha in Photoshop. However you'll find that in interiors especially, even small changes in lighting or materials can have a big effect on your whole scene, therefore making a re-render necessary. markf
what you suggest would work, but if I understand correctly your now going back and forth between Max and Pshop with multiple steps. Why not have the frame buffer open a saved image? seems like it could have many uses. my 2 cents
