Trevor Tizard
Find the splash.bmp in the max directories, and replace with a new one.

Dave Buckley
To be honest i just wondered if it could be done, not sure what i'l do with it now, probably just put a hot chick on there haha, maybe not, wouldn't look too good when i'm demoing the software in front of potential customers. Would be a good way to introduce "customization straight from the off" though i suppose Hmm i wonder how creative i could be with this. Is yours customized?? Trevor Tizard
No, never occured to me. Just looked for the splash file in the max folder. I guess it just that in the older times I'd launch max and the go get a coffee while it loaded, so never really paid attention to the splash screen
BrianKitts
want to get even fancier.... I think you can still replace the splash screen with flash. A while back we had a similar discussion about this and someone mentioned that you can replace it with the old version that was a .swf file that showed the shortcut keys at startup. I would assume you can make your own .swf file and slip it in.... http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/17672-i-want-faster.html#post123032
