This is my 1st time and 1st render project using 3ds max samplermikes03_correction.jpg

and here is the 2nd one

samplermikes05_corrections.jpg

and these are 1st part of my concerns...never mind the design:)

1. (1st and 2nd image-plants) is there a way / settings in adjusting the light that hit the plant model? What I mean upon looking in the image supposedly plants should be green but they're not. Is it the model or do I miss something in the settings? I tried to exclude them in the vraysun settings but it turns the plant shaded in black. The plant is from archmodels.

2 (2nd Image-rpc car) How could/should I correct this in 3ds max?

3 (not in the image) I inserted RPC plants & trees on the background as well as in the front yard but when I render the model, they all disappear, why? How could I correct this?

4 I'm using vray sun as lighting in my render.. as well as I'm using vraysky for the environment and vraysun as its sun node in matl editor.

Should the sun parameters be the same in the settings for vraysky in the matl editor? Because what I have observe is that when trying to adjust the intensity of the vraysun parameter(modifiers) the environment (background) is affected, meaning when I lower the intensity to almost .01-.005 the environment(background) turns out totally black even if the vray sky settings in matl editor is at higher value.

How can I achieve good lighting (exterior) without affecting the background.

The model were made using sketch up and imported it to max.

This is my 1st time in using 3ds max as render tool. And, this is also my 1st time to post in the forum.:) Please bare with me.

Thanks
