Texture Bake

Hi all,

 

I've been playing with texture baking and i want to bake textures for multiple objects so:

 

I select the objects, create an output path (TGA).

 

It seems to work fine so in the rendered frame window you see the textures flattened but when you open the actual TGA file its black!

 

When i save off the rendered frame window each time they save fine, its just when i set it to save them off automatically there's this issue but on a complex scene this would take a long time and defeat the object of texture baking!

 

Anyone else had this issue? Anything i'm doing wrong?

Hey Greg,

 

I am having simulair problems with texture baking.

Sometimes black result and sometimes it saves well. The problem is that you have to check everything. Baking multiple object at the same time gives simulair problems. I found a thread at the V-ray forum where Vlado replies that he doesnot understand why this is occurring !

Hi chaps

 

I had this same problem just the other day although I was saving my baked textures as jpgs. The reason I they seemed to be black was that only a small, cropped portion of the rendered image was being saved. I changed it to save files as .bmp and it started working. Hope this helps.
