ishpalsingh
after going thru smoke's editable poly tutorials i thought i should start modelling in max5. so i made three splines in autocad & imported it to max 5.in max i extruded the splines then attached them at there resp levels& welded there vertices.when i tried to cap close the holes.max made it look weird.so i manually made the holes & extruded them with 0 thickness & then i attached them to those extruded splines & welded there vertices. then i extruded the polygons in front view but when i tried to give thickness to these walls by cap closing the holes with the help of border subject max again is messing them up tell me wat i m doing wrong. or tell me a better method to do this
Ted Boardman
>>by cap closing the holes with the help of border subject max again is messing them up It looks to be a Normals issue, Ishpal. Try assigning a material with the 2-Sided option checked and see if that fixes it. Ted
