Michael J. Brown
Is there someplace I can go to permanently switch adaptive degradation off for my viewports? Quite often I don't even realize it's on until I'm panning, zooming, rotating, or otherwise navigating in a viewport and portions of the view dissapear or flicker. This drives my crazy - but only because I keep forgettting to switch it off when I start a new project. I haven't been able to find a toggle anywhere in the Preferences dialog. So there must be some sort of defaults.ini file (or something) somewhere that contains all the default settings that can't be controlled in Preferences. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks. mattclinch
press 'o'? it should remain off the next time you boot MAX.
Michael J. Brown
press 'o'? it should remain off the next time you boot MAX. Oops...I've already re-assigned "o" to Open File. Any other solutions?
BrianKitts
it's not something that is global, it is something that is retained with specifc max files. So if you have a file that it is enabled, it will always be enabled when you open that file. so turn it off and the next time you open that file it will still be off. also by defualt I'm pretty sure it's off. either way if you've overwrote the shortcut key the quickest way to turn it on and off is with the button that looks like a cube at the bottom of your viewport.
