Matt W
First off, I'm not in the architectural business. I work for an engineering company and I'm recreating our building in 2D/3D and was wondering what the "industry standard" is (if one even really exists - everyone seems to have their own take on this) for naming and numbering architectural/interiors/furniture plans. And also, what order do they go in? Thanks. Matt W
frank1331
Not really sure there is a standard. I have usually seen it as follows: Site Plan Floor plans (Ground floor-up) Elevations Sections Other Misc. Plans (Furn, etc.)
Stephen Thomas
This might be a good place to start. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAD_standards

Brian Smith
this might help...it's every other page of the 1st chapter of a book on 3D visualization
Spooner04
I agree there is not really a profession wide standard. The American institute of architects cad standards is probably the closest thing.
sherlyroger
What you said are some basic steps for architectural layouts but it is not standard that people follow. Buitenlampen
