A.Mitov
Hi, guys I have a question. Can I print an ortographic image rendered in 3ds max in scale (1:250 for expample)? Is there a program that does that?
kippu
i dont think its possible in 3dsmax ... of course if you have acad , you could have one in reference and scale the output of max accordingly?
datacrasher
you can print a max file but not that big if you use the print size wizard under the rendering drop-down menu click the render button then you can print the file Edited November 18, 2011 by datacrasher
Fernando Lino
I print elevations in scale all the time, I made an spread sheet with the formula but I'm not in my office right now...using the info from the camera( distan from the camera to the target and the angle you can find how many linear meters represent the width of your rendering ... with that info without changing the final resolution you have to change the Dpi to get it in scale. Frosty
When I read your thread title, I wanted to respond to give you a smack. But I read your post. Good question and difficult. Keep in mind even if you rendered your image to a scale, which is possible, its only that scale at one precise print size. I once got into a heated argument with a student that demanded I teach him how to print a perspective to scale. And this guy was a 4th year design student! No matter how I tried to explain the impossibility of his request, he repeatedly demanded I show him how and that I was wrong. 20 other people in the room were laughing and shaking their heads.
