mibs_studio
Hi there! I`ve a question about my situation here. Never get trough a problem like this, its sound like : I`m working on a residential project that consist 16 building. there are 8 types of typical layout plan. The 3ds max file is about 17mb (building + road +environment ) cause i`m using vray proxy for other repetition floor level. The proxy file is about 14 mb ( consist of 8 file of vray mesh ) I`m using vray proxy too for trees. Vray proxy for the trees is about 150 mb consist of several type of tree. Same goes to cars, only 4 different type of car that i`ve convert it to vray proxy ( 200 mb ) So here it goes, i try to render it in 1500 x 900 size. But it cant be render as it will be appear as UNHANDLE EXCEPTION unless I unhide all those trees and cars. All material is in vray material and no "green line error in vray log"... sudenly it goes to UNHANDLED EXCEPTION. Some of my senior talk about Raycaster Parameter in Vray system rollout. they said " if you have vray proxy that refering to 200mb vray mesh, so you should 200mb at least for your Dynamic memory limit and use Dynamic for Default geometry " ~but it still wont work and i dont how to settle this out. My seting goes: Irridiance Map + Light Cache for GI, Adaptive Subdiv for AA, and Area for AA filter. Linear Color Maping. Environment On. Others is default.I`m using Quad core Xeon with 3GB RAM. Thingking of use 2 side plane for tree or just impose the tree images on rendered building ... Its never hapen before... already get used to vrayproxy for trees.. please anyone... REDVERTEX
RAM is too low! What version did you use? x32 or x64 ?
STRAT
yes. you need as much power under the hood as you can muster. what is your hardware and software spec? ideally you need to be 64 bit all the way, with at least 4-8 gig of ram, and a quad or higher processor. (this is fairly standard spec these days)
mibs_studio
oh! Isnt`t it? Wow, usually i wont get this problem even it is a same size of project. I`m using 3ds max 2009 32 bit version. I`ve to update my windows and my 3ds max to 64 bit system if I want use more than 3GB RAM~ that might need some aplication and aproval from my admin - Time is not my option now. Guess i just render it seperately for cars and trees. P/s : Redvertex, I have visit your website, and your work is nice man! I like it ! Admire how you manage all those scene..
