WAcky
plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,be more descriptive with your question. I have absolutely no idea what you mean. Put the bump map into the vraydisplacementmod map slot. plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,,,,,,,,, this is pathetic. I vote once more for some sort of popup with rules before someone posts an new thread.
Craig Ramsay
Rock, you can find detailed information on using the Vray displacement modifier here - http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/displMod_params.htm
STRAT
if you're a VR newb i certainly wouldn't consider using displacement for bricks. thats generally not what it's for.
SandmanNinja
Rock, You need to try SEARCHING before asking basic questions. Just assume that if this site has been around for years and years, that SOMEONE in that time would have asked a similar question. I just clicked SEARCH at the top, typed vray displacement bricks and got hits. I mean, that's pretty darn close to exactly what you were looking for. Here are the links: http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/28086-displacement-problem.html http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/19534-house-vray.html http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/15419-displacement-mod-bricks.html In each post, there is a question very similar to yours and at least one answer. In some cases, multiple suggestions. I know English probably not your native language, but we do try to maintain some sort of professional behaviour in this forum. If your first post is riddled with slang, then you're likely to be met with a less-than-friendly reception. Some other ideas - v-ray's website has heaps of tutorials, and a displacement is a pretty basic concept. So I'd try there. I also typed: vray displacement into google.com and found thousands of hits. http://www.vray.us/vray_tutorials/vray_displacement_mapping_tutorial.shtml http://www.evermotion.org/vbulletin/archive/index.php/t-39978.html I mean, it's FINE to ask questions, just try to follow some of the guidelines. Very basic questions in first posts makes people think that you want the answers spoon-fed to you, rather than you spending a few seconds and finding plenty of free resources.
