emptyvessel
hi, i'm getting white spots on the floor as seen below. i've read through a previous thread with a similar problem and did the following: check sub pixel mapping change anti-alias filter to Mitchell Netravali unchecked Max compatible Shade Context under Vray:System all of which doesn't help. the only way i can find that removes the white spots is when i change it to area shadows instead of vray shadows. but the lighting seem to be dialled down a notch. I'm still pretty new to Vray, thks for the help in advance. there is only 1 target direct light in scene, using irradiance map as pri bounce and quasi monte carlo as sec bounce. using max 8 btw. emptyvessel
i'm using a std Vray material with grey as the diffuse.i've posted a screenshot of the mat below for your ref. anyway i read at the vray forum that it might be due to insufficient sub-divisions for my lighting...but i dun really know where to check ...is it the secondary bounces sub-divisions? or the shadow parameters sub-divisions or smthing else?
