Artistic Building

Recommended Posts

i think you need to push it alot further in everyway if you want it to have some artistic merit. make it less 'arch-vis' style and make the building crazier imo.

people / planting are terrible, they dont match the lighting and look like an afterthought.

whats the purpose / intent behind this image?

I agree with this. Especially the small palms to the right and the lighting of the people to the left. Way off.

The building underneath the upside down building also needs a lot of work. It has no textures and the images for shops are very flat.

I think the texture for the old upside down wall is a little too big as well.

Upper windows are flat. Needs to be picking up something in the reflection.

What's the point of this?

I think if you're just creating something weird for the sake of it you need to master the process THEN mess it up. I suppose the comparison is to art where you have fine art skills first then you do a load of scribbles on a piece of paper and its called abstract.

If you cut straight to the scribbles its just rubbish.

I'm rambling now...!

Actually I can design something like this if I've smoke some weeds or a bottle of wine :p

How do you smoke a bottle of wine? :)

About the image. A image like that comes with an idea, a vision or at least some sentence about its purpose. I would love to hear it. Its all about setting the mood and expectations.

About the design. Personally it did not feel right to me. But that doesnt have anything to do with the viz job.

About the general quality of the viz, I agree with most of what have been pointed out already. The part below doesnt match the part on top. Thats the first thing I would have worked on. I would probably ditched all the peoples in the image too, and surrounded the buildings with a vegetation frame or something instead. Creating a more 'artistic' style of image, instead of trying to achieve photo realistic. You have a good start of that kind of frame, but you have to color correct your vegetation to match the colorscheme of rest of the picture.

Yeah yeah. Keep us updated :)
