SandmanNinja
I've done some for experiments, but have always done it with 3ds - just used the 'top' view. Before I got involved in 3ds, I tried some of the 'traditional', off the shelf software packages that are in the $29 to $79 price range

SandmanNinja
Hi George, Thanks for the kind words about my website. I wanted to keep it simple, easy to navigate, and present my renders - not try to be too snazzy and fancy. If I could change anything, I'd change my image gallery to use flash. I'm located in Australia, near Melbourne. Checking out your website, here are some random comments: * I like the interface * The first render is of a living room and has nice sunlight falling across the couch. I really like that * I think it's good to have residential as well as commercial - shows you can do different styles * there's a render (2nd from left, bottom row) that has some anti-aliasing issue on the foot cubes and entertainment centre * same for the next one - render from behind a kitchen bench - anti-alias on the bench and stairs * overall - very nice Finally, it's been too long since I used 2D software for floorplans. I do virtual tours with photography and use AutoCAD to do my floorplans.

SandmanNinja
If you're using Mental Ray, it'll be the Final Gather setting. Not sure what it is in V-Ray
