parker2740
I am rendering a building that has a a glass curtain wall and there are angles that allow you to see through to the back side of the glass on the other side. When it renders instead of seeing sky, it renders white. I have turned off the "back face" option in the glass material and still havent solved it. Short of turning those back faces off, is there a setting that will allow the sky behind. TIA
rmccoy
can you post a screen grab of your material settings?
parker2740
Here is the screen grab and the effect. What do you think?
BrianKitts
I think you may want to reinvestigate your glass material. Have you tried a more realistic glass IOR for your refraction settings. I'm assuming you have a fresnal falloff map in your reflection channel? The following is a starter material for glass.... always works quite well. parker2740
I had the IOR set to 1.6 and it was giving me a weird warping effect at some of the corners so I dropped it down. Thanks for the settings, Ill try it
