frank1331
I am trying to render out some windows so i can isolate the glass for post work. The windows were MAX windows, and I have converted them to an editable mesh. I have changed the frame to Mat ID (1) and the glass the Mat ID (2), but when I render out the render elements pass, they are both coming out as the same color, and I cant isolate one from the other. The question is; "Can you change the color of the material ID, so that one is red, the other blue, or whatever? If so, how? Or is there a better way to do this? Tommy Burns
Check out subset of scene its a shader you put in you camera effects do a search here for it loads of links. Also you could apply a none material to material overide slot. Then when this is rendered all you will get is the coulors of the objects layers. Mght have to turn of lights so you don't have any shadows
